Triinu's Vine & Leaf Shawl

This is the beginning of another shawl I'm knitting. I'm using light brown Cashmere yarn from Colourmart in the U.K.
This pattern was just recently translated into English, so there were some challenges, but with the help of my friends, it's coming along nicely. The designer is Triinu Andreassen in Sweden.

Goldie Sox!

This is Goldie Sox! my latest and the greatest of all my sock machines! This is the Bronze New Zealand Auto Knitter manufactured by Jacquie Grant in New Zealand www.autoknitter.com . She only made 4 of these and it is my understanding that they are all sold to U.S. citizens.
What is great about this machine is that it's a compound as well as a regular sock knitting machine. Compound means it has cylinders to make small diameter (children's) socks. The regular means it makes regular or adult circumference socks. Of course with any machine you can make the sock as long as you wish or need.
People are always surprised when I tell them that these machines knit ribbing and heels and toes. Of course the socks are seamless as well.
This machine was more expensive than any of the others I've owned. In fact, I sold two other machines to be able to afford this one. But it was worth it. This is the do it all machine and I love it!

Time Out !

I had to take time out to get a picture of this majestic fella! We call him Spike.
Mystery Stole 3 - Clue 4 finished July 30, 2007
It's getting too long to fit into a picture. I'm using Jaggerspun Zephyr in Ebony and size 4 circular needle. It has beads knitted in, but they don't show up in the picture. I think this will be a Christmas gift for my Mother in law.

This blue shawl is called Cabo Waves. I knitted this one for a dear friend that is in her 8th pregnancy! Yikes 8th! She is best Mother I've ever known. She lives in a warm climate so I think she will be able to use this a lot. It's knitted with Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in Columbine Blue. I finished this one yesterday, July 21, 2007.
This is the Horseshoe Shawl. I finished it the first week of July. I made this one for a great Doctor that I see often. She is having her first baby soon and I thought this shawl would be perfect for the "middle of the night nursing" times. It's made with Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece yarn in Robin's Egg blue.

Mystery Stole 3 - Clue 3

Progress is a little faster now as I am getting use to the lace weight yarn and black color. This has been fun to do with the beads and so many other knitters working on the same project. Clue #4 comes out tomorrow and I'm ready!

Mystery Stole 3 - Clue 2 finished

Mystery Stole 3 is coming along, but Boy, am I a slow knitter! Some of the nearly 7000 members have the clue knitted the same day it comes out. It takes me about 4 days. There are 150 rows so far with several beads knitted into the design. This has been a fun project.

Mystery Stole 3

This is the first clue to the Mystery Stole 3. I'm using Jaggerspun Zephyr lace weight in Ebony. There are beads knitted into the design but they don't show up in the picture. The idea of the mystery is we, 3000 + members are given clues once a week. Another part of the mystery is the theme. When the item is finished, we will be told the story behind this lovely knitted stole/shawl.

Finally Finished Robin's Aran Sweater

Finally! This took me at least a year to complete this sweater for my dear husband. I did take long breaks from it to make other sweaters or knit socks. I was hoping to have this done in time for winter, but that didn't happen. The official title of this pattern is "Rick's Aran" from the newsletter "Twists and Turns".

Here are Great socks that I have knitted with the sock yarn I sell. They are great winter socks that hold up really great even when I wash them in the washing machine. I hang them to dry. I use one of my sock knitting machines to make these socks. I also make custom socks $20. You will have to contact me, I'll send you a PayPal invoice.
