This guy is looking for a Free Lunch! Although beautiful, we really don't want him to eat our fish that we buy. The other picture is of him in one of our trees. It's funny to see such a large bird with long legs in a tree, but they build colonies of nests in trees just like any other bird.

Greetings from the Fraser Valley, just north of the border. We have those herons nesting in the trees here too. Occasionally they drop frog or fish bits in my yard, which makes my dogs very happy. Me, not so much, especially when I find said bits in my bed....
