Mystery Stole 3

This is the first clue to the Mystery Stole 3. I'm using Jaggerspun Zephyr lace weight in Ebony. There are beads knitted into the design but they don't show up in the picture. The idea of the mystery is we, 3000 + members are given clues once a week. Another part of the mystery is the theme. When the item is finished, we will be told the story behind this lovely knitted stole/shawl.

Finally Finished Robin's Aran Sweater

Finally! This took me at least a year to complete this sweater for my dear husband. I did take long breaks from it to make other sweaters or knit socks. I was hoping to have this done in time for winter, but that didn't happen. The official title of this pattern is "Rick's Aran" from the newsletter "Twists and Turns".

Here are Great socks that I have knitted with the sock yarn I sell. They are great winter socks that hold up really great even when I wash them in the washing machine. I hang them to dry. I use one of my sock knitting machines to make these socks. I also make custom socks $20. You will have to contact me, I'll send you a PayPal invoice.

This guy is looking for a Free Lunch! Although beautiful, we really don't want him to eat our fish that we buy. The other picture is of him in one of our trees. It's funny to see such a large bird with long legs in a tree, but they build colonies of nests in trees just like any other bird.

The New Zealand Auto Knitter #2

This is the New Zealand Auto Knitter. Jacquie Grant in New Zealand started a manufacturing business to build these sock knitting machines. The first 10 are special as they are numbered and custom painted. This one is # 2, made especially for me. These collector machines come with a stand and 5 cylinders and 5 ribber plates.
Jacquie is also manufacturing Production machines. They will be painted black, but the owners have the option of adding many cylinders and ribbers.There is a small tray on the right side of the picture. This tray is removable and usually used for holding needles. Jacquie's web site is www.autoknitter.com

Knitting Projects

This is slow progress, but I am making headway. Only about 10 inches to go on the length, then the neck band and it will be finished. Today is New Year's day 2007.

This is a current Knit Along project called "Kerry". I'm using Black Water Abbey yarn in Pippin color. Because I love green, this will be for me! Yippee!!

This is an aran sweater I started for my husband some time ago, but I keep getting side tracked! This is so beautiful, I think I need need to get-er-done! It's called "Rick's Aran" from the newsletter, "Twists and Turns" by Janet Szabo. I'm using Brown Sheep yarn in Blue Boy color.
This is called "Sandy" from the book "Big Girl Knits ". I made this for myself and finished it the first of October. I used Brown Sheep yarn in Turkish Olive and Noro yarn.

Remember the little guy I photographed that was so new that his ears were flopped over? See August 2006 post Here he is again, still nursing at 3 months old. He is a little buck too. Mom is going to ween him real soon because it's almost rut season and she gets pregnant again.
